JOURNEY OF BUILDING AN EXCELLENT SCHOOL

Important milestones:

  • 2013: Vinschool Education System was officially established
  • 2017: Vinschool joined the Cambridge Assessment International Education
  • 2019: Vinschool started its journey to join the Council of International Schools (CIS)
  • 2022: The first Vietnamese school to achieve CIS accreditation.

The forte of Vinschool

  • The first education system in Vietnam licensed by the Ministry of Education and Training to integrate the Cambridge International Program and the Vietnamese General Education Program.
  • The first and largest education system in Vietnam to achieve CIS accreditation and commit to fully comply with the best international practices of CIS at all campuses, for students throughout the system to enjoy the quality of education that meets international standards.
  • The pioneering educational system that implements a credit reward at the high school level where each Vinser has a personally tailored schedule with a selection of approximately 50 subjects, including those taught at the undergraduate level and Advanced Placement subjects. The schedule is based on the student’s orientation, interests and abilities, to support the ambition to enter the top national/international university and reduce credits when entering university.
  • The Education System is at the forefront of digital transformation and the application of educational technology to teaching in Vietnam. Vinschool students can study anytime, anywhere and access a rich online learning resource.
  • The only Education System that brings Vietnamese Studies, Quality Skills Education (CLISE) and Global Citizenship Education (GCED) into teaching from Primary to High School to help the student build a multi-dimensional perspective on life and form a sense of responsibility as a global citizen.
  • The Education System leads the philosophy of “developing talents to serve the community”, with the establishment of the GATE Center, in which talented students in different fields are developed passionately and spread knowledge value in the community.

KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM

The Vinschool Education System has officially signed an agreement with International Preschool Curriculum to acquire an exclusive license to implement the IPC program. The IPC program learning standards and assessment criteria are aligned with EYFS (UK young learner curriculum), Common Core Standards (US curriculum) and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC Non-profit American organization).

KEY FEATURES OF IPC:

  • IPC was recognized by prestigious educational institutions in the U.S., U.K. and Singapore.
  • IPC’s learning outcomes and criteria are aligned with NAEYC standards (U.S.).
  • The curriculum encourages proactiveness and independence in each child through student-led activities along with the most up-to-date classroom model for kindergarteners.
  • Interdisciplinary learning activities offer students a holistic development across 6 content learning areas including Numeracy, Language Arts, Socio-Emotional, Creative Arts, Sciences, and Motor Skills.
  • The curriculum was adjusted to better fit the Vietnamese culture, with the aim of orienting students towards international benchmarks while still preserving the cultural traditions of Vietnam.
  • The curriculum promotes student autonomy and confidence, which is proven to be essential for their transition from Kindergarten to Primary School.

KEY FEATURES OF VINSCHOOL CURRICULUM:

  • There is a strong emphasis on competency, skills, and character building.
  • The curriculum focuses on advancing high-order thinking skills like analyzing, evaluating and creating.
  • It demonstrates a serious commitment to foster global citizenship (GCED) as well as national identity (Vietnamese Studies).
  • The English as a Second Language (ESL) subject sets a clear target for students: a minimum score of 7.5 overall on IELTS after 10 years studying at Vinschool.
  • Students in the Cambridge program (Advanced track) take various subjects such as Math, ESL, Science, ICT, and Global Perspectives.
  • Students in grades 11 and 12 can select from a variety of classes designed to prepare students for future college coursework in specific majors; students with high marks in internationally-recognized exams and tests (such as AP) will earn a competitive edge when applying for any university and a chance to graduate from college sooner.
  • Students can learn at their own pace outside of the classroom with available e-learning videos, while still receiving help on more complex content during class time.

As of now, Vinschool has two different learning pathways for its students: the Standard Track and the Advanced Track. Each of them caters to a different demand, whether it is studying abroad or enrolling in a local university.
